Rumors have been going around about Henry Cavill portraying Christian Grey’s nemesis, Jack Hyde on “Fifty Shades Darker.” Finally, producer Dana Brunetti has spoken up about this. Read on for more details.
Brunetti confirmed that they haven’t cast new characters yet for “Fifty Shades Darker.” And that being said, Cavill isn’t going to play Jack Hyde. During an interview with E! News, the producer said that the rumours about Cavill joining the “Fifty Shades of Grey” sequel is ridiculous and as time passes, it gets even more ridiculous.
Cavill also spoke about the rumours with the same publication. He hinted the possibility of him joining the cast of “Fifty Shades Darker,” which sparked rumours even more. However, shortly after that interview Cavill admitted that he was just messing with everybody and he’s not joining the cast of the E.L. James trilogy.
It is very unlikely that Cavill will be joining “Fifty Shades Darker.” Due to him messing with everybody, some fans still couldn’t let go of him as Jack Hyde. In fact, the rumours are still spreading that he’s joining the cast of the movie even though he has denied it several times. He even said that he’s going to try a different tact this time when he gets asked again about a possible role in the movie.
With Brunetti confirming that they haven’t cast a Jack Hyde yet or even new characters for “Fifty Shades Darker,” the rumours about Cavill’s role isn’t true. It is also very likely that they will cast someone different, someone fans would least expect but will deliver well in playing the role of Jack Hyde. After all, it’s a pretty challenging role to be up against the powerful Mr. Grey and the helpless Anastasia Steele.
“Fifty Shades Darker” will hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017, in the U.S.
