“Fifty Shades of Grey” Dakota Johnson is set to release her newest movie “Chloe and Theo” prior to her “Fifty Shades Darker” movie.
Johnson, who played the role of Anatasia Steele in the erotic novel turned movie of E.L James has landed a role in the latest film named “Chloe and Theo.” It has been reported that the film was acquired by ARC Entertainment, and was set to hit the theaters and VOD on September 4 this year. The released date was announced last Monday by the ARC’s head of acquisitions, Scott Moesta.
In a released movie description of the upcoming film in The Wrap website, “Chloe and Theo” the story of Theo played by the newcomer Theo Ikummaq. He is an Inuit man from the Arctic who decided to travel to New York to warn the world leaders about the catastrophic impact of global warming on the planet. Upon his arrival to the city, he accidentally meets a homeless lady—her name is Chloe played by Johnson. She has a very unusual vigor for life—she’s a bit delusional, and obsessed with the legendary martial artist, Bruce Lee. Though they both have unusual behaviors, together, they decided to save the world.
The upcoming movie of Johnson was produced by Monica Ord, who also executive produced the movie “Virgin Group”
According to the ARC’s head of acquisition, Moesta, the film is very powerful, heartwarming story of two people who wants to save the world. It has a stellar performance from the star Johnson and also from Mira Sorvino.
He also added that the team was absolutely thrilled to let the people watch it as they distribute the film on the big screen and various platforms across the U.S.
On the other hand, some of the recent ARC Entertainment releases include “Field of Lost Shoes,” Autumn Blood” and “A Little Game.”
