“Fifty Shades of Grey” showed their first look of the much-anticipated book to film adaptation at the CinemaCon panel last Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Universal Studio showed a preview of the upcoming movie, “Fifty Shades of Grey” in front of cinema owners and journalists in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Based on E.L. James’ hit book series with the same name, the movie adaptation is said to be “more romantic than sexual” as described by The Hollywood Reporter. While The Wrap labels the scenes showed as “safe.”

Hmmm… that’s not what we have in mind. We’re rooting for something closer to the book’s roots!

The two-minute teaser opens with the Seattle city view while a soft, slow piano solo plays in the background and then comes Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) as she relays her very first meeting with Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) to Kate (Eloise Mumford), her roommate.

Their very first meeting was also showed as Anastasia walked into the very spacious and immaculate office of Grey. Shy glances from Anastasia and fixed gazes from none other Mr. Grey himself were exchanged in the room.

By then, the teaser speeds up the courtship, passionate embraces and kisses were seen and it also showed Anastasia falling in love with Grey and getting into the world of Grey and then she opened a door into a room. “Fifty Shades of Grey” fans; you know what this room is!

The final exchange in the teaser will definitely excite fans out there with Anastasia asking Grey “Why are you trying to change me?” and Grey answered, “I’m not, it’s you that’s changing me.”

Taylor-Johnson will direct “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The film was delayed in October 2013 when Charlie Hunnam left the role of Grey with rumours that he got overwhelmed with too much attention from the fans.

And that’s the “Fifty Shades of Grey” first look at CinemaCon. It really looks like the team behind the said movie will be playing it safe.
