“Fifty Shades of Grey” has long been the much-awaited film among women. Like most book-based movies, not all scenes can make it into the film. Find out which infamous scene didn’t make it into the movie.
The infamous tampon scene from E. L. James’ best-selling erotic novel, “Fifty Shades of Grey,” sadly didn’t make it into the movie. It was that scene wherein Christian Grey removes Anastasia Grey’s tampon before having sex.
Speaking to Variety, the movie’s director, Sam Taylor-Johnson confirmed that the infamous scene was not included in the movie and that the scene was “never even discussed.”
Taylor-Johnson also said that the book had way too much sex in it, which caused them to “cut down the number of sex scenes” in the movie. Michael De Luca, one of the film’s producers, said that a lot of the sex scenes in the movie were “very literal” and said that the movie didn’t have to do each and every scene.
While they may have removed some of the sex scenes in the movie, Taylor-Johnson said that the sex scenes are very important to the flow of the story.
“They are not gratuitous. It tracks the story,” he said.
Jamie Dornan won’t be showing his manhood as well. Sorry ladies!
The actor revealed to Ramin Setoodeh in an interview that he was wearing a pouch to cover his manhood. The actor likened the pouch to the little satchel that Robin Hood wore around his belt. Dornan was quick to react though when he said that the pouch had no back and that it was tiny.
“I mean, it’s not tiny! Because it’s got to hold a lot,” he remarked. “They were privy to everything, just not my manhood.”
Aside from the disappointment that the infamous tampon scene and Dornan’s manhood won’t be shown in the movie, the movie will still feature some of the most important parts of the book, such as how Ana met Christian in an interview and Ana’s first night at the Red Room of Pain.
