The third and final trailer for the Christopher Nolan sci-fi pic, “Interstellar,” is now officially available for viewing.
“We’ll find a way. We always have”
The two and a half-minute trailer features McConaughey and the struggles mankind are facing. His task is to find the only way for the other generations to come — to learn interstellar travelling.
“Interstellar” features an award-winning cast including Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Anne Hathaway, Ellen Burstyn and Michael Caine. It follows a team of space travelers who travel through a wormhole. With the world facing shortage of food and supplies, the only way for mankind to survive is for it to learn interstellar travel.
McConaughey plays the leading role of Cooper, a widower, trained pilot and engineer. When a wormhole is discovered, McConaughey is tasked to save the world. But in order to do so, he must leave his two children behind. Finding himself in the company of various explorers and scientists, Cooper must embark on an epic voyage that will transcend the limits of human space travel.
“Your daughter’s generation will be the last to survive on Earth, you’re the best pilot we ever had. Get out there and save the world,” said Caine’s character in the trailer.
Warner Bros., who produced and distributed Nolan’s previous films, made negotiations with Paramount, traditionally a rival studio, to have a financial stake in “Interstellar.” Legendary Pictures, which formerly partnered with Warner Bros., also sought a stake. The three companies co-financed the film written by Nolan and his brother, Jonathan Nolan.
“Interstellar” is set to be released in theaters in November 2014. It will be released on Nov. 5, 2014 in Belgium, France and Switzerland; Nov. 6, 2014 in the United Kingdom; and Nov. 7, 2014 in the United States and Canada. Paramount will distribute the film in North America, while Warner Bros. will distribute the film in the remaining territories.
