First Look on the ‘5th Wave’ Movie [Watch Video]
5th Wave

The “5th Wave” movie is finally coming to theaters. If you’re a fan of the book series by Rick Yancey, you already know about the story but for those who don’t, let me take you through it as well as show you the trailer on the upcoming movie. Read on for more details.

“5th Wave” is a 3-book series, the two are already out while the third book is set to be released next year (2016). It’s a young adult sci-fi, apocalyptic novel that involves aliens and natural disasters. These natural disasters are actually caused by aliens who want to get rid of humanity through a series of waves. The aliens in the movie and the books don’t look like the usual aliens that are often depicted in movies and books because, in this case, they look exactly like humans.

The story revolves around the female protagonist Cassie played by Chloe Moretz. Her character is looking for her brother Sam (Zackary Arthur) who was taken from her during the beginning of the “5th Wave.” Fans of the book have been expecting a movie from quite some time now and for a while, they almost lost hope that a movie isn’t happening due to the lack of news and updates until last week when the movie trailer was released. Ever since then, the Internet has been buzzing with stuff related to the “5th Wave” movie.

The good thing about this is that it looks like the movie really did follow the events on the “5th Wave” books. Well, so far it does look like that but we’ll never know unless we see the whole movie. On Sept. 4, 2015, Fandango released the first movie poster.

The “5th Wave” will premiere on Jan. 15, 2016.
