In August 2015, we get a taste of a different “The Walking Dead” when its spinoff series premieres titled “Fear of the Walking Dead.” A lot of “TWD” fans are eager to find out more details about the show and I have those juiciest and latest details for you:
First off, it has been made clear that “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead” are two different shows as the latter will concentrate on more during the time when the virus is only starting to spread and hasn’t blown up, which is what we see on the former. Producers of the spinoff series also said that it is not intended as a prequel to the show and Robert Kirkman also revealed that “the spinoff’s timeline will eventually catch up with that of the original show.”
However, showrunner of “Fear the Walking Dead” Dave Erickson has said that he and his team are facing some difficulties when it comes to keeping the two series separate, “There are certain rules that have been set up and established in the first show that we can’t break from… we also need to make sure that we’re not stepping on each other’s story,” he said. He remains optimistic that his show will be able to stand alone as a companion piece amidst the challenges that they are facing.
