Aside from the announcement one of the latest modern magical shows to hit SyFy, Spoiler TV has also released the first look promotional video of the show, which gives fans of Lev Grossman’s series “The Magicians”, and viewers, a taste of what to expect when this show hits the small screen in 2016. Read on to learn more about the most magical show to hit SyFy.
The promotional first-look video released on Spoiler TV showed fans of the series and showed audiences, in general, as to what to expect come 2016.
It showed that Quentin Coldwater, portrayed by Jason Ralph, has been studying magic tricks. He did it in order “to keep up” with his best friend, Julia, who is portrayed by “Chicago P.D.’s” Stella Maeve.
However, after she tells him to stop learning magic tricks, he stumbled upon Brakebills Academy. It is a school which teaches magic, and allows its students to push the limits of their potential, so that they can be the best magicians they can be.
There, in front of the panel, after one of the school’s panelists yelled at Quentin. It was after he performed a magic trick, he, angry, made an entire deck of cards explode, and made them arrange themselves in a card tower. It meant that he had that innate potential that they were looking for.
Julia then told Quentin that she wasn’t sure if she wanted to go to Yale anymore. It was especially after learning that such a school like Brakebills existed.
It also showed two other characters, Margo (Summer Bishil), and Eliot (Hale Appleman), going out together, and performing magic, such as levitating balls, performing illusion spells, and animating bracelet charms, such as a golden bee, to make it come to life.
The first look video ended with Quentin, the show’s main character, who, with a click of his finger, managed to paint wonderful artwork on the façade of a building.
Spoiler TV also has released several first look promotional pictures featuring Quentin in front of the school’s seal; Julia in a coat; Margo in a red dress; Eliot; and Arjun Gupta, who portrays Penny, in a sleeveless top.
And that was all for the spoilers on SyFy’s adaptation of “The Magicians”. For more news, updates, spoilers and recaps on “The Magicians” and other television shows, keep on following Movie News Guide (MNG).
