“A to Z” is one of NBC’s upcoming shows. The romantic comedy is set to air on Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. beginning October 2, 2014. Cristin Milioti, who endeared so many fans of “How I Met Your Mother,” returns to the small screen with “A to Z,” which is a story about finding love in the most unusual circumstances.  She is paired with Ben Feldman (“Mad Men”) who plays the hopeless romantic Andrew.  Read on to find out more about “A to Z.”

His character is described as cheesy, the type who sings Celine Dion songs and relishes in the idea of finding “the one,” but Andrew (Feldman) never really gets it on with the ladies. Working in an online dating service company, he encounters Zelda (Milioti), who is his exact opposite. A lawyer and a control freak who loves how online dating services work. Again, with the control! Zelda visits Andrew’s office due to a computer glitch on her Internet dating profile.

With obvious sparks during their first meeting, Andrew could not help but note that he has met Zelda at a concert a couple of years before and has visions of her wearing this shimmery dress. He thinks that this is fate. She, however, thinks it’s just a random encounter.

Created by Ben Queen (“Drive”) and produced by actors Rashida Jones (“The Office”) and Will McCorkmack (“The Sopranos”), the show will follow how this relationship blossoms from A to Z, from Andrew to Zelda.  The series will also have Katey Sagal (“Futurama”) as the narrator.

Based on the teaser found below, “A to Z” seems to have a lot of similarities with Milioti’s former show, “How I Met Your Mother.” Fans will definitely like that she is now playing the lead, as opposed to being just part of a supporting cast who was introduced very late in the series. Her chemistry with Ben Feldman is also something to watch out for.
