The 20th Century Fox finally went on and released the trailer for their reboot of the “Fantastic Four” franchise, and it is obvious how things are gregariously different from the original. Get a load of the five things that make this recently released trailer a definite eye-catcher as you read on.
Out of the many Marvel movie franchises that are circling the entertainment world these days, it’s 20th Century Fox’s “Fantastic Four” reboot that seemed to have received lesser of a recognition compared to its predecessors and competing cinema runners. However, things may take an absolute change for them as the first trailer for the film is finally released, and it made the movie more interesting than ever.
Cinema Blend put together a collection of highlights that can be seen on the trailer. Here are the five that surely made the “Fantastic Four” reboot a worthy film to watch on the big screen:
- The “Interstellar”-esque opening
This new “Fantastic Four” appears to be more serious than its predecessor. With the way the trailer was narrated with the heavy set, scholarly voice of Reg E. Cathey, the trailer gave the impression akin to how “Interstellar” was first introduced in its trailer. There are the vast corn fields and a car racing through it and science’s involvement that cooed the words “To discover, to invent, to build…”
- The government’s active involvement
Watching the trailer, a shot there showed a panel of uniformed executives and their background showed a blueprint of the transportation that the Four used to travel into the N-Zone. Moreover, the trailer heavily enunciated that instead of the Four being the instigators of the experiment, they are now recruited thanks to their impressive academic backgrounds.
- The nerve-racking transport between worlds
Of course, the Four were not the only ones who got transported into the so-called N-Zone dimension where they would get exposed to a lethal dose of gamma radiation which altered their genetic make-up. In the trailer, the nervousness of the ones being transported is evident and so is disaster.
- The Thing’s rock transformation
The trailer did give a glimpse of each of the Fantastic Four’s powers, but the way they presented the Thing’s transformation is something one cannot just overlook. Created with 95% CGI, it’s obvious how the studio put in a lot of effort to make this appearance clobbering-ly aesthetic and cinematically authentic.
- The unknown doomly figure
If there’s one thing that the trailer hasn’t really made clear, it’s the aspect of identifying who the villain is. For “Fantastic Four” fans, they would know that the Four’s nemesis is Doctor Doom, but looking at the trailer, where does he fit? That’s until a short scene at the end of the title showed an unconscious figure being monitored in an observation room. Could that be him?
