One of the best things about the DC Television universe is that they have seamlessly incorporated the multiverse theory from the comics into its television counterpart. Fans and viewers of “The Flash” have been able to get glimpses from time to time of Earth-2, and have seen Earth-2 characters in the primary world, but nothing more aside from that. However, it seems like fans and viewers will be getting to see more of Earth-2, and will see some Earth-1 Iris West (Candice Patton) work place action, come January 2016. WARNING: This article will contain spoilers for season two of “The Flash.”
Among the DC television universe shows, only “The Flash” deals with their counterparts on Earth-2 thanks to the fifty-two different breaches that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) created at the very end of the first season, and at the beginning of the second season.
Thanks to that, fans and viewers have been able to get brief glimpses of Earth-2 and have seen and interacted with several Earth-2 counterparts, heroes and villains alike.
However, what hasn’t yet been seen are Earth-2 versions of Barry, Dr. Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), and Cisco Ramone (Carlos Valdes), which makes one begin to wonder what they are up to on Earth-2.
It seems, according to the on-set and behind the scenes pictures that YVR Shoots has taken, that it will not be long before these versions will be seen, although they will be coming around during the last half of the second season.
It seems, based on the pictures, that Earth-2 Barry is very different from his Earth-1 counterpart, as he is seen wearing a sweater, vest, bowtie and glasses combination while filming a scene that seemed as if he was a reporter.
Another report from YVR Shoots previews that Earth-2 Caitlin is the Killer Frost version of herself, which had been teased at the end of the first season.
In the scene, it was reported that Caitlin, in her Killer Frost outfit, blasted Barry with ice, which he tried to dodge. The character’s stunt double was also seen on the set, in the Killer Frost costume.
Also, Variety recently reported that actor and comedian Tone Bell will be joining the cast as Earth-1 Iris West’s (Candice Patton) new editor, Scott Evans.
According to the character description for the character, he will push Iris and her colleagues to report more on real stories than puff pieces.
