The arrival of Kid Flash is finally in the cards for “The Flash.”
With all these foreboding metahumans from Earth-2 being regimented by Professor Zoom to strike down on the Flash, it seems the numbers game is no longer on our hero’s side.
Barry Allen needs a Sancho Panza to his Don Quixote, a Doctor Watson to his Sherlock Holmes or closer to home, a Robin to his Batman. In particular, a sidekick which was reported by Movie Pilot to be just one of the latest threads in The CW’s TV adaptation of the beloved DC comic book.
Help may really have hit close to home with a story arc that deals with Iris West’ long-lost brother named Wally West to be portrayed by Keiynan Lonsdale of “Insurgent” fame.
Iris’ estranged brother though has only been spoken of in “The Flash” secondary outline of her mother’s sudden reappearance and the heavy substance abuse which will lead to Mrs. Francine West’s demise via McGregors’ disease.
However, details on how the 23-year-old Lonsdale will gain his ability in the TV show have not been detailed as of the moment. The producers also have not hinted on what episode the young speedster will appear.
Comic book fans are familiar that the young West was Barry Allen’s superhero-in-training intern after a lab accident which, in the long run, made him took the place of “The Flash.”
In the next episode entitled “The Darkness and the Light,” the Flash Team will be faced with another rift gate-crasher in the form of Dr. Light as mentioned in a synopsis from Cosmic Book News.
A power-downed Jay Garrick aka Earth-2 Flash enlightens Allen on their latest “breacher” by indicating that Dr. Light is not a villain in his universe. Things get to a grinding halt as Team Flash get to meet the other Dr. Harrison Wells who saved Barry’s hide from King Shark in the last episode.
Episode 5 of “The Flash” airs next week Nov. 3 at 8 pm ET.
