Many are still mourning over the loss of the supernatural procedure “Forever” which aired for one season during the 2014-2015 television season, which soon became a fan favorite. However, sadly, the show hasn’t been picked up by any other platform, but fans and viewers will have a chance to see one half of the show’s leading pair, as Deadline has reported that actress Alana de la Graza, from the sorely missed show, has landed a role in the CBS procedural “Scorpion”. This bit of news will make “Forever” fans, still mourn the loss of “Forever”, which starred Alana de la Garza, Ioan Gruffudd and Judd Hirsch. However, we can be a little happy because of Detective Jo Martinez, de la Garza’s role in the show. Garza will still be reporting for duty, but in a new and interesting way in the second season of “Scorpion”, according to Deadline.
According to the report, the actress will be replacing David Fabrizzio, who portrayed the role of Director Merrick, as the new head of Homeland Security, who relies on a special group of geniuses and hackers called the “Scorpion” team, which is headed by genius Walter O’ Brien (Elyes Gabel). Her character pulls back Cabe Gallo (Robert Patrick) to be the “Scorpion” team’s handler once again, as he is currently working in Hollywood as a technological advisor, due to the fact that he quit Homeland after Merrick demoted him to a desk job.
However, things are not clear cut or black and white when it comes to de la Garza’s character, as her motives in ensuring that the Scorpion team does its best in the different cases that are thrown at them throughout the season are at times questionable.
“Scorpion”, a CBS procedural, just finished its freshman season, and will return for a second season on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 9:00 PM on CBS.
The show follows a group of geniuses are led by Walter O’ Brien, who handle international threats that they can solve. This is also based on the true life story of Walter O’ Brien.
The team includes Walter O’ Brien (Elyes Gabel), their leader and someone with one of the highest IQ’s in the world; Happy Quinn (Jadyn Wong), a mechanical prodigy; Sylvester Dodd (Ari Stidham), a human calculator; Toby Curtis (Eddie Kaye Thomas), an impulsive gambler and a human behaviorist; and Paige Dineen (Katharine McPhee), their liaison who helps translate the normal world to them. Paige’s young son, Ralph Dineen (Riley B. Smith), is also a genius, and in exchange for her help, the group tries to help her understand Ralph. Together, they tackle international and domestic threats using their own areas of expertise, and discovery more things about themselves along the way.
