According to an exclusive article on TV Line, fans of the mystery show will finally be able to put a face to the mysterious Adam, another immortal who has lived longer than Dr. Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), as his identity will be revealed in the midseason finale. This will be a pleasant surprise for fans of the show, as one need not wait for a long time to be able to learn who Adam is.
In the previous episodes, Adam has always remained as a voice, as he often called Henry up on his cell phone. However, in the previous episode, he whisked Henry away in a taxi cab that he had managed to procure, after Henry had parted ways with his partner, Detective Jo Martinez (Alana de la Garza).
According to TV Line, Ioan Gruffudd said that he had been surprised at the early revelation of the mysterious Adam and said that the storytelling possibilities deepen once it is revealed who Adam exactly is. He also mentioned that Adam is someone that he has seen and has been present all throughout his extraordinary life, yet he is also someone whom Henry had never really noticed, which also makes it more entertaining for the audience themselves.
Spoiler TV also gave an exclusive sneak peek as to what will be happening in the upcoming episode. The clip showed Henry in his basement laboratory. He then frantically put on some surgical gloves and opened up a case on one of his tables. From there, he got a medium-sized knife from his collection. He was then startled as Jo, who had gone down to where he was, asked what he was doing, especially after she saw the knife in his hand. He then tried to explain himself, then stopped short and admitted to her that the knife in his hand was the murder weapon that was used to kill their second victim — Richard Smyte. She was then surprised to hear that the knife, the murder weapon, was actually his.
