It seems that FOX can’t get enough of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “The Mindy Project,” “New Girl” and “The Following”  because according to Entertainment Weekly (EW), the network announced the renewal of its three hit comedies on  March 7, 2014.

“These shows are some of the best and acclaimed series on television, with influential, culture-driving stars, and some of the best, most creative talent behind the camera,” said FOX’s Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, and Joe Earley, Chief Operating Officer in the EW report.

“All four are core assets within our 2014-15 portfolio of content, and we’re really happy to bring them back to our FOX fans for another season” Reilly and Earley added.

And it’s not just the  viewers who are quite happy with Fox’s announcement , but also the stars of these critically-acclaimed shows.

Despite being the underdog from the bunch, the second season of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” is indeed an “icing-on-the-cake” for the “shocked” cast and crew as they walked home with two Golden Globes for Best Comedy and Best Comedic Actor from the recently-concluded 71st Annual Golden Globes Awards last January 12, 2014.

MTV News reported that Samberg couldn’t believe that they won two major awards during his acceptance speech for his Best Comedic Actor award.  The show, which was first aired in September 2013, will be having its last curtain call for its first season on March 25, 2014.

Created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur, the award-winning sitcom cast includes Andy Samberg as Detective Jake Peralta, Andre Braugher as Captain Ray Holt, Stephanie Beatriz as Detective Rosa Diaz, Terry Crews as Detective Sergeant Terence “Terry” Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Detective Amy Santiago, Joe Lo Truglio as Detective Charles Boyle, and Chelsea Peretti as Administrator Gina Linetti.

“The Mindy Project” will come back with a vengeance for their third season amidst claims of low ratings during mid-season last November 2013 in a report written on Gawker.

Created and written by “The Office” star Mindy Kaling, the show revolves around a skilled OB/GYN who is trying to balance both her personal and professional life. She is joined in the cast by Chris Messina, Ed Weeks, Zoe Jarman, Anna Camp, Amanda Setton, Stephen Tobolowsky, Ike Barinholtz, Beth Grant, Xosha Roquemore and Adam Pally.

After being hailed for its high ratings since 2009, “New Girl” gets renewed for its fourth season in 2014-2015. TV By The Numbers hailed the show as the “highest rated scripted entertainment telecast on broadcast TV in six years since the post-Super Bowl episode of “House” aired in 2008.”

Emmy and Golden Globe nominated actress Zooey Deschanel, who plays  a smart and spirited woman named Jessica Day, will come back alongside her male roommates (Jake Johnson, fellow Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated Max Greenfield and Lamorne Morris) and her beautiful best friend (Hannah Simone) for another season.

Lastly, “The Following” starring Golden Globes winner Kevin Bacon and  James Purefoy will also return for Season 3.

Huffington Post found out that Kaling and Deschanel expressed their happiness on their Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Famed for her role as Kelly Kapoor in “The Office,” Mindy Kaling celebrated “pick up day” like a queen with a jar of caviar, Cadbury creme eggs and champagne, which was posted on her Instagram account.

Obviously, FOX can’t get enough of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “The Mindy Project,” “New Girl” and “The Following” because it renewed them all for another season. But, the fans also can’t get enough of their favourite shows and are beyond excited and thankful for these new seasons.
