‘Fresh Off the Boat’ Cast Update: Randall Park Recalls His Own 24/7 Security during ‘The Interview’ Scandal

Fresh Off the Boat” (FOTB) patriarch Randall Park shared new interesting and hilarious facts about him and ABC’s hit series. Read on for details.

According to Los Angeles Times interview, Park loves to sing Frank Sinatra’s “It Had to Be You” every karaoke party. However, he claimed that his co-star Constance Wu (Jessica Huang) could do a better job than him.

Interestingly, the real-life Louis Huang’s Golden Corral restaurant in Orlando transformed into a Hooters.

Way before “FOTB” premiere, Park became famous for his controversial role as the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in the scandalous film “The Interview.” It was one of the craziest moments of Park’s life because Sony required security to guard his Valley home 24/7.

However, Park eventually found the set-up “cool” because he was just living an average life before the issue came out. He then tried to live a normal life despite the controversy by openly going to the market. He said people stared at him as if he was crazy.

“People would be looking at me like, ‘What are you doing in the market? Shouldn’t you be in hiding?’” Park recalled.

What is next for Park? He is going to work with Bill Hader and Amy Schumer in the comedy film by Judd Apatow entitled “Trainwreck,” which premieres on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015. He also appears in the Netflix show “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” with “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) star Kristen Wiig, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper and Elizabeth Banks.

“FOTB” Season 2 has no official premiere date yet.
