One of the adorable Disney stars we know and love is now a mom. Her cute voice starred in the Disney animation film, “Bug’s Life.” She is best known as Claire Bennet in “Heroes” and Juliette Barnes in “Nashville.”
Hayden Panettiere gave birth to Kaya Evdokia Klitschko last Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, confirmed by Panettiere’s representative to People. She let the news go public on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014.
Kaya became a blessing for the 25-year-old Panettiere and her fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko, who is 38 years old and a heavyweight boxing champion from Ukraine. The couple got engaged in October 2013.
“We are over the moon and madly in love!” the parents told People.
Kaya weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 20 inches. Wladimir announces his joy on his Twitter account by saying their baby is “healthy.”
Panettiere told Hello! magazine last October that she gained 40 pounds during her pregnancy.
“And the worst part is my feet are still size 5 and they’re going, ‘What’s going on with all this weight?’” Panettiere said.
The petite mom first shared the sex of her baby at the Emmys last August while her bump was obvious under a glittery dress.
Panettiere knew all along she would be a hands-on mother. As soon as she knew she was going to have a baby girl, she wanted to go shopping and paint the room.
Panettiere is thrilled to have a baby girl ever since she knew the sex of her baby. She said she is confident in raising a strong daughter because she feels she have empowered herself as well.
“I’m thrilled that I am having a girl first because I feel like I know a lot about raising a strong woman,” she told Hello! magazine.
Kaya’s name is meaningful. It comes from the Hawaiian word “kaia” which means “by the sea.” Kaya’s middle name, Evdokia, is a Greek word which means “happiness.”
