‘Frozen 2’ Movie: Breaking the Disney Sequel Curse
Frozen 2

The Disney movie “Frozen” is known not only by children but also by adults who are young-at-heart. Ever since its release in 2013, the movie’s theme song “Let It Go” has been stuck in our heads until now and Elsa’s attire has been a Halloween costume staple for the past years. Due to the success of “Frozen,” a sequel is very much expected. However, in the world of animation, specifically Disney, when it comes to sequels, how will this movie make it as successful or even more successful than the first one? Read on for more details.

One of the best things about “Frozen” is Elsa’s superpower and this may be one good thing that can maintain the momentum of the hit Disney film. Majority of the Disney films that developed sequels have failed to thrill its audience, but there’s a huge chance that “Frozen 2” can beat that “curse.”

Elsa’s superpower in “Frozen” only focused on how it can manifest when she feels negative emotions. Remember, she stopped using her powers “in a good way” because of what happened to her sister Anna when they were children. Ever since then, she became fearful of her powers and she tried very hard to suppress it because she thought she had no control over it. In turn, it resulted to negative emotions that trigger her superpower in a negative way as well, resulting to chaos and more negativity.

In “Frozen 2,” Movie Pilot reported that the audience will probably get to explore and learn more about what Elsa’s superpower can do aside from building castles and controlling the weather now that she has found peace and love in her once hated power.

Aside from that, “Frozen” has not just tickled the hearts of little girls but also little boys as well, thanks to its catchy and musical concept it really drove through our hearts. There is so much to explore in “Frozen 2” such as where did Elsa get her powers? How does it really work?

Let’s stop with the nitpicking and conclude that “Frozen 2” has a huge chance to break the Disney movie sequel curse. What do you think? Let us know by posting your comments below!
