“Frozen” has proved to be one of the Disney’s most successful and productive film to date. With the immense success of the animated musical film leading to tons of marketing opportunities including, different merchandise, short film, and a possible sequel. With “Frozen 2,” Disney has a lot of competition from other princess movies.
With the sequel still into production, there have been many speculations about the movie. One of the most speculated plotlines is the possibility of Anna attempting to steal the powers of Queen Elsa. As we, all know both the sisters are of good nature, so Anna will eventually own up to her own amateur mistakes and will Elsa’s forgiveness. Director Chris Buck has not commented on this rumour, so there are chances that this may be true.
It is also rumoured that in “Frozen 2,” Elsa will be meeting a partner, which will abate her loneliness. However, it should not be avoided at this time that it was Anna whose love interest was highlighted in “Frozen.”
According to Los Angeles Times, there was a debate among the production team behind “Frozen,” for whether or not to make a sequel. However, the success of the first film swayed Disney executives towards making a sequel. After a month, during a visit to Australia, Buck disclosed that the directors already have an idea for the sequel’s ending.
According to Variety, actor Josh Gad who gave the voice of Olaf announced that Disney was in development to make “Frozen 2.” It was announced at the Disney’s Annual meeting in San Francisco. John Lasseter also explained the fact that like Pixar, Disney is also into making sequels and it can only happen if the creative team behind it has some brilliant ideas.
“Come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it, and we’re taking you back to Arendelle.” Lasseter said.
