“Frozen 2” still does not have a release date, but the hype for the film is undying. The much-anticipated sequel to blockbuster hit “Frozen” is all set to surface in theatres and with very interesting plot twists.
One thing is confirmed that the “Frozen” franchise is set to make an impact and use the power to influence their audience. In an interview with MTV News, Director Chris Buck revealed that “Frozen 2” will not be having a happy ending.
The unhappy ending of “Frozen 2” will be making path for upcoming “Frozen” franchise films.
“In the movie, Elsa went through a very dramatic character arc, and in this one, she got to lighten up. We saw a bit more of her personality. So then we started thinking about what we could do with all of these characters in another film. We had a nice happy ending at the end of the first one, but what’s next?” Chris Buck said.
Cross Map describes “Frozen 2” plot as “second chances and forgiveness.” It further notes that many changes in the plot can be foreseen including female villain, Prince Hans’ change of heart, revealing Princess Anna’s super powers and, Olaf’s love interest.
In an emotional interview with ABC.net, Buck revealed that he is back to work with co-director Jennifer Lee for “Frozen” franchise. Buck said that during “Frozen” release he was not in good state of mind as his son had died in an accident.
Buck further revealed that he wants to use Disney platform via “Frozen” franchise to send out a strong message. He said, “I realised what we do at Disney is very important. Letting them laugh, cry, making them feel, but basically giving them hope. And that’s why I am here and why I’m doing the movies that I do. I take the films that I make very seriously, the messages and the morals that I’m trying to convey.”
