“Frozen” director Chris Buck recently teased the characters and the plot that “Frozen 2” is set to have. Will there be new characters? Read on for more details.
Fans could expect the same powerful message in “Frozen 2” that was told in the previous “Frozen” animated film.
The 54-year-old director noted the movie had two strong female lead characters: Elsa the Snow Queen and her sister Princess Anna of Arendelle. It was also reported that these two would be instrumental in the sequel’s plot that will tackle real life issues.
“We will keep that going in the next one. We will tackle other issues that, I think, are out there today that boys and girls, men and women, are dealing with,” Buck hytold MTV News.
It could be noted “Frozen” revolved around accepting people for who and what they are, which was the reason for the song “Let It Go.” Furthermore, Buck was also aware of the influence that their movie had for the young generation and through this film they hoped to communicate the message of acceptance.
Buck was being considerate to the fact that children watch their animated films over and over again. So he intended to put a decent message in order to seize the opportunity.
Buck previously teased on the personality that Elsa would have in “Frozen 2,” implying she will have a fun personality. When asked about his ideas of the film’s plot, Fandango reported that he did not reveal any deep details except that they already had some cool concepts about it.
Buck admitted it took quite sometime to move on from the massive success that the animated movie had. It can’t be helped as it got nominated in multiple awards such as Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for “Let It Go.” It even managed to receive British Academy Film Awards for Best Animated Film.
Now as for the release date of “Frozen 2,” no specific date was given.
