“Frozen 2” is running strong on speculations in terms of plot. There are no leaks in the plot from the “Frozen 2” team which includes Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. Although, one thing is clear that the anticipated sequel to “Frozen” will focus more and more on Elsa.
“Frozen 2” will be seeing relationship of sisters Elsa and Anna bloom and will take us back in time to explore the origin of power in Elsa. Anna will also be shown dwelled in self-discovery and finally finding love as her power.
During an interview with MTV, Chris Buck announced the second intallment from “Frozen” franchise and stated that it will be featuring societal impact issues. “We have two very strong female leads in ’Frozen. We will keep that going in the next one. We will tackle other issues that, I think, are out there today that boys and girls, men and women, are dealing with. I think we’re very aware of what is happening in society. I don’t think any of us take [them] lightly, even though they can be very funny and entertaining, the messages that our movies have and the influence they can have on young people.”
Chris Buck also added that he has missed an opportunity with “Frozen” but wouldn’t repeat it with “Frozen 2” to create a learning curve among kids. Rumors of Elsa being a lesbian has attracted attention but there are still doubts to it. Since, Disney showing something like this over an animated movie is a big question mark.
Elsa is for sure going to have a love interest but will it be with a female? MNRDaily writes that there are chances the big threat to Arendelle Kingdom is coming and mostly from a woman.
Now, this woman is after the kingdom or Elsa is yet to be known! In an interview with Fandango, Chris Buck revealed the changes Elsa will be having in “Frozen 2,” “[In Frozen] she had such a dramatic journey, and at the end she’s just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again. That’s what was really good about the short — we could have fun with Elsa. And that personality… you will see in the next one.”
