The Jay Baruchel-led comedy series and the young-centered cable network’s first original comedy is definitely coming back for more. As first reported on Deadline, the show’s last five episodes has hit at least 67% in the 18-34 target demo and 41% in the 18-49 target demo. These numbers are apparently higher than FXX’s primetime averages, making it a success among its intended market: the youth.
Aside from the rising numbers, “Man Seeking Woman” has also earned a lot of good raves during its launch that its network executives are pleased with the feedback. You can read our round-up of critic reviews here.
“Critics and fans alike have embraced his unique storytelling, Jon Krisel’s stunning visuals and the brilliant performances of Jay Baruchel, Eric André and the rest of the cast that has made Man Seeking Woman one of the best new comedies on television,” said Nick Grad, one of FXX’s presidents, in a press release published on TV Series Finale. Grad also commends show creator Simon Rich, the showrunner, for his “smart and original” ideas.
Rich, on the other hand, expressed his gratitude for the renewal in the same press statement and regards the series as the “creative highlight of my life.”
The second season is set to broadcast in 2016. As it is with the first season, it will have ten episodes.

In his surreal adventures, Josh has dated an actual troll, met a penis monster and was seduced by sexy aliens. The series premiered on Jan. 14, 2015 and it’s currently wrapping up its first season on FXX with three more episodes.
