And it has been finally confirmed! “Game of Thrones” (GOT) Season 5 now has a premiere date. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
HBO has set the premiere date for their fantasy drama series “Game of Thrones” Season 5, with 10 new episodes that will kick off on April 12, 2015. The premiere date was announced during the Television Critics Association press tour, and along with the show’s premiere comes the return of their other TV shows as well, “Silicon Valley” and “Veep,” which come in 10 episodes each as well.
The premiere date of the show followed the news of “Game of Thrones” Season 5 trailer, which will be aired in 150 IMAX theaters across the US, along with the last two episodes from the previous season. It will run from Jan. 23 to 29, 2015, and tickets will go on sale very soon.
A lot is in store for “GOT” fans this coming season, with a young Cersei coming and diving into a memory from her past when she encountered a fortune teller named Maggy the Frog. Neil Williams will play the ferocious young Cersei Lannister. We may not be seeing Bran and the gang this season, but we will be meeting new ones, so it’s kind of a good thing too.
The anticipation may be full of steam, but fans know well that a cold breeze is upon them, and they can hardly wait.
