The pot has been stirred quite a lot in the upcoming sixth season of “Game of Thrones.”
Besides, the much talked about is the sudden reappearance of Kit Harrington’s Jon Snow character. HBO’s larger-than-life adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s high fantasy novel “A Song of Ice and Fire” will have an out-sized number of new characters.
It’s a roll-call of places in the lore of “Game of Thrones,” as we namedrop all confirmed actors who will claim the troubled continent of Westeros and its neighboring landmasses their home. Here we go!
English actor Dean S. Jagger will portray Smalljon Umber, a wrathful heavy-set grizzled lord in the frozen North. His father was Greatjon Umber who was a recurring character in the first season.
Beyond the Wall, cult-icon Max von Sydow will now take the helm for the dream-like Three-eyed Raven. The Swedish actor’s character chiefly made his appearances in the fourth season.
The once autonomous kingdom of the Reach will now cast light on Samwell Tarly’s (John Bradley-West) unaffectionate father, Randyll Tarly who is being played by James Faulkner. Faulkner’s character is said to be a legendary soldier in the battlefield and is highly-regarded for his courage in all four corners of Westeros. A persona hardly typified by his timid son.
In the ironborn-run Iron Islands, we will meet Theon Greyjoy’s swashbuckling buccaneer uncle Euron Greyjoy, the second eldest son of House Greyjoy. He is infamously named “Crow’s Eye” not just because of a patch that he constantly wears on his malicious left eye but because of his character who thinks that madness is the lordliest of ideals.
