Jon Snow and Sansa Stark might be fighting against each other to rule Winterfell in “Game of Thrones” Season 7. Is it possible that Sansa will betray the new King in the North to gain power when the show returns?
The “Game of Thrones” Season 6 finale found Jon Snow and Sansa Stark back in Winterfell meeting with Northern lords. Although everyone was initially unwilling to stand by Jon, Lyanna Mormont vouched for Winterfell’s hero. In the end, Jon was declared King in the North while Sansa was not given credit for winning the battle. But does this mean Sansa will go up against Jon in “Game of Thrones” Season 7?
HBO had released a behind-the-scenes special for the King in the North scene from the Season 6 finale. The video features Sophie Turner admitting that “there’s always been tension between” Sansa Stark and Jon Snow. The actress also revealed that Sansa and Jon had “typical sibling tension” right from the start of “Game of Thrones”.
But does this mean Sansa Stark will rebel against Jon Snow in “Game of Thrones” Season 7? Sophie Turner said that Sansa is a little unhappy she “gets no credit for” winning “The Battle of the Bastards”. However, she also stated that Sansa is not “looking for praise”. Instead, she is only “a little agitated” because “Jon is so naïve.”
Kit Harington also addressed the possible tension between Sansa and Jon in “Game of Thrones” Season 7. The actor said that Jon has not “learned his lesson” from Sansa and “that could be a real problem for him.”
Although Sansa and Jon could work through their difference in “Game of Thrones” Season 7, Littlefinger could complicate things. Littlefinger has already admitted that he wants the Iron Throne and will not stop until he gets it. He may try to persuade Sansa to betray Jon when the HBO show returns next year.
