In Hollywood, marriages and vows of forever do not last longer than a few months or so. And it seems like another celebrity couple is about to prove the stereotype right, if the rumors are to be believed. According to sources, Academy Award winner George Clooney and human rights lawyer Amal Clooney (nee Alamuddin) are heading to divorce-ville.
Mobile & Apps reported that the Clooneys’ marriage troubles began because both husband and wife are too busy to work to make time for each other. However, the incident that triggered their separation and made Alamuddin decide that enough is enough happened recently, on a trip to Maldives.
A source who claims to have knowledge about the incident shared that Alamuddin, who went to the Asian country to lobby for the release of ex-President Mohammed Nasheed, asked her movie star husband to “keep her safe” from “bloodthirsty terrorists.” However, the 55-year-old actor refused to go with her. The source added that Alamuddin was devastated that her husband does not want to ensure his wife’s safety by coming along her trips.
Divorce rumors have been plaguing Clooney and Alamuddin since they married in 2014. But so far, the two have not shown indications that their marriage is on the rocks. Clooney’s Hollywood friend, Brad Pitt, is also being plagued with divorce rumors. According to the latest report by IB Times, Angelina Jolie is planning on having a “crisis talk” with her actor husband in order to save their marriage.
Pitt is rumored to be having an affair with French actress Marion Cotillard. The two met while working in the 2016 film “Allied” and has allegedly been inseparable since then.
However, Gossip Cop found that the rumor was baseless and unfounded. A source told the site that the sensationalized news about Clooney’s divorce was simply “not true.” But the 55-year-old actor did admit that he is worried about his wife’s safety, and the human rights lawyer does not want him to tag along.
