It seems like it is gonna be the ‘winter of discontent’ for One Direction this year, for all members, current and former. With the band already in semi-breakup mode, ex-Directioner Zayn Malik has suffered some more heartbreak by ex-flame and Little Mix member Perrie Edwards.
It all started with Perrie Edwards (whom Zayn Malik reputedly unceremoniously dumped via text message two months ago) posting a cozy picture with dancer Rycardo Gomez. The photo was captioned “Reunited with this one last night! My love for this boy is outrages! I adore my Riri!”
Now that is enough to inflame any heart with passion, and poor Malik is not immune to the green-eyed monster, so he responded the only way he could: with a passive aggressive tweet, reminding Edwards (probably) that he is not returning home so there is no good waiting for him.
I don't want you to wait for me,
I'm not coming home✌️

Malik’s loyal fans of course, are up in arms, demanding that he return to the UK immediately, with responses like:
@zaynmalik don’t forget where u belong. Home
@zaynmalik What do u mean by HOME?
@zaynmalik so that mean, that you’ll never come back to the UK?? Xx (via the Mirror)
Edwards, in the meantime, seems to be having a ball as the 22-year-old Little Mix member opened up on life after Zayn Malik to 3 am Mirror recently. Edwards, apparently, has been beating the blues by flirting and partying with fellow Mix-er Jade Thirlwall. Speaking with the publication, Edwards said:
“I’m having an absolute blast. We have a bit of banter with guys in nightclubs… I love it. I love going out. I’m feeling brilliant and I’m in a good place – and I’ve got new hair.”
According to bandmate Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards is flying the single flag high. Jade Thrilwall also told the publication that Little Mix though One Direction members Niall and Harry were cute, but Zayn Malik’s name was noticeably absent.
