Ladies and Gentleman put your light sabers aside, as those are’nt going to help you against ghosts unless you have ‘Proton Pack’. If you are wondering what the hell is that, then you are probably born after the nineties. FYI if you ever think of old ghost comedy thing, then remember the name ‘Ghostbusters’. That’s right Dan Aykroyd invented group Specter catching people, are making their way to big screen. It all looks like the seventies and eighties again as Star Wars, Star Trek and now Ghostbusters are coming back and gracing the new improved technology, where the ghosts just got real.
According to Screenrant Ghostbusters launched their new posters and gave us a brief knowledge about the new characters. Ghostbusters is set to hit the theatres someway in the middle of 2016, with director Paul Feig at the helm. The most notable names among the star cast is none other than the Azgard Prince Chris Hemsworth who will play the role of Receptionist. While other characters include Kate Mckinnon as Jillian Holtzmann who is a nuclear engineer, munitions expert, proton wrangler. Abby Yates played by Melissa McCarthy who is a scientist responsible for research and trapping. Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert a physicist and Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan who is ghost tracker.
According to Dailydead Feig has also kept room for the original Ghostbusters characters in the film. The original characters included the creator of the series Dan Aykroyd himself along with Annie Potts, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver. As of now what role they will play is unknown but according to the poster released by the franchise, they will certainly play second fiddle to the new team. Feig had the opportunity to speak with EW where he acknowledged the incredible talent of the four young women and their chemistry with each other. Later Feig was thankful for the environment on the sets which was very supportive and creative. Feig has taken a huge risk by casting four women in the lead role, which has already made the uphill task of reviving this franchise even harder.
