Girl Meets World” Season 1 Episode 15 “Girl Meets Brother” aired last Friday, Nov. 27, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. on the Disney Channel. In this episode, Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga Matthews (Daniel Fishel) give their daughter, Riley (Rowan Blanchard) a lesson in responsibility by babysitting her younger brother, Auggie (August Maturo) during their Fifteenth Wedding Anniversary. It is because Riley insisted on being treated like an adult. Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode began in the subway, where Maya Hart (Sabrina Carpenter) convinced Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard) to break her 7:00 PM curfew to go to a sale of vintage t-shirts at a clothing store called Demolition, after they did not make the cheerleading squad once again.

Back at home, Auggie refused to pick a babysitter. She insisted on tagging along with Topanga (Daniel Fishel) and Cory (Ben Savage) on their anniversary. They were then interrupted by Riley, who came in, proud that she was seven minutes late. However, as much as she tried to act like a rebel in front of her parents, the more they found it funny. They knew that if they gave her a 7:00 p.m. curfew that she would come home at 7:30 p.m. Cory asked Maya what kind of a “bad influence” she was. She decided to “up her game” by stealing a pillow and two coats from their coat rack.  After presenting her case in front of her parents, they decided that her new curfew would be 8:00 p.m.

After learning that Riley’s curfew had been extended, Auggie insisted that he should have a later curfew as well so that he could tag along on their anniversary. However, Cory shot him down as they hadn’t been on a date in “three weeks and four days.”

Meanwhile, Riley kept on insisting that they treat her like a grown up. Then, Auggie came up with a perfect idea. Riley would be his babysitter as he would put his “life in her hands.” However, Auggie fell down on the floor after he told his sister to catch him. She was busy haggling the payment for her babysitting job.

On their anniversary night, Auggie fixed Cory’s tie by tying it into a bow. She asked if he could go out on an anniversary. When Cory told him that he could when he found “someone like mommy,” Auggie mentioned that he liked his teacher.

Meanwhile, Topanga asked Riley how she looked. She told her that she looked “wow. He asked when she was going to look as “wow” as that. Both Cory and Auggie both agreed that Topanga looked “wow,” and Topanga, after realizing that Auggie had made Cory’s tie, told him that it looked “magnificent.” Cory then told Riley that they were going to have sushi for dinner then watch a play afterwards. Afterwards, they would ride a horse-drawn carriage, and then head over to a jazz club to listen to some music. Auggie then made Riley promise that she wouldn’t go to his room until he told her to do.

Right after they left, they came back again and gave Riley and egg. They then told her to draw a face on the egg, and to give it a name-Amanda McScrambleface. Afterwards, much to Riley’s horror, Topanga took the egg and smashed on the stool. They then told her that Auggie was just like Amanda McScrambleface and told her not “to drop him.”

Afterwards, she fed him dinner, dressed him up in his pajamas, and made sure that he had gone to the bathroom. However, he wouldn’t let her into his room yet. Then, to Auggie’s surprise, Riley buzzed Maya up. Instead of paying attention to him, they started to watch the season finale of “Red Planet Diaries.” Auggie then tried to get Riley’s attention by asking her if she wanted to come to his room. However, she said that she would come in a while. Auggie, who was sorely disappointed, went inside his room, cut the streamer that he had made. He had planned that they would play pretend that they were pirates, so that they would have the best night ever; and called it the “worst night ever”.

Meanwhile, it looked like Cory and Topanga were stuck at the subway station. Cory then felt a little bit bad. He had wanted to give Topanga a wonderful romantic evening with music because it was their fifteenth anniversary. Suddenly, they heard a subway jazz musician, who decided to name his unnamed song after Topanga.

Back at the apartment, Auggie decided to take matters into his own hands. He closed the television set, grabbed the remote, and threatened to throw it out the window. He then called her the worst babysitter in the world.

Back at the subway, Cory and Topanga remembered their very first kiss together when they were young, and how Topanga had proposed to him during their graduation. Cory then finished the tale by saying that they had lived “happily ever after until their fifteenth anniversary when the subway didn’t come.” However, he also said that “sometimes, things come when you least expect it. It was like he might just have the bracelet that she had been wanting in his pocket. However, he only had a “ring made out of candy-blue raspberry in particular and proposed to her again right then and there. As people had clapped for them after she agreed to marry him again, Topanga told Cory that they were actually in their own play. They then were able to have a “horse drawn carriage” as they borrowed. They “rode” on a pink sparkly hobby- horse they borrowed from a little girl who was waiting for the subway with her parents. They then decided to go back home and to “spy on the kids” as that would really make their night perfect.

However, as soon as they peeked into their apartment, they discovered that Auggie and Riley were arguing with each other. However, instead of fixing the fight, they decided to let Riley handle it, and crawled right in.

After a while, Auggie told Maya that she could have Riley as it seemed like she would rather be with Maya instead of him.

Auggie then got shocked when he discovered that his parents were inside his room, and got even more surprised when they refused to fix things, as according to them, they wanted to teach Riley how to be responsible. Cory then bet Auggie that he would want Riley back as a sister by the end of the night. Auggie then agreed, with the condition that if he won, that they would make him a baby brother.

At Riley’s room, Riley agonized on how they would never learn what happened to the characters in the show. She refused to let Maya research on the Internet about it. She then said that Auggie had ruined her night, but Maya told her that she felt that Auggie felt the same way about her, as all he wanted was to spend some time with Riley. Riley then realized that they don’t often pay attention to those “who care about them” enough. At that moment, Farkle Minkus (Corey Fogelmanis) appeared much to their surprise. Riley said that she wasn’t able to show the “little guy” that she loved that she cared about him. All he wanted to do was to “show her his room." Farkle once again thought that Riley was talking about him. He was then left alone, as Maya and Riley left as Riley had figured out what she was going to do.

After convincing Auggie to give her one more chance and because she had seen what he had prepared for her, she led him to his bedroom. It is where he was pleasantly surprised to see that Maya and Riley had decorated his room like a pirate ship, and had worn pirate costumes for him. Riley and Auggie then “killed” Maya and made her “walk the plank.” Afterwards, Auggie allowed Riley to keep Maya and told his parents that they had won the bet. Because of this, they both agreed that even though they were watching their kids from their balcony window, that it was the “best anniversary ever.” Farkle then inserted himself in between them and after Cory’s cue, gave Topanga her present from Cory. It was the bracelet that she had wanted. She then hugged and kissed Farkle on the cheek, who then fainted into Cory’s arms.

Next day, the entire family went out for pancakes for breakfast. He had cooked scrambled eggs. His entire family had refused to eat it. Riley claimed that they were eating the McScrambleface family and Amanda McScrambleface’s best friend.
