Girls Generation Seohyun will be making her very first big screen project as she is tapped to play alongside with her labelmate, EXO member Chanyeol in a Chinese movie adaptation called “So, I Married An Anti-Fan.”
According to KDrama Stars, the 24-year-old “Got A Boy” singer, Seohyun, will be showing off her acting skills in a supporting role. She is set to play a junior trainee named Jung Yong Hyun who’s in love with Chanyeol’s character.
KPop Starz reported that this film adaptation is based on a manhwa (comics) written by Eunjung Kim or known as Jiwan.
Based on Net Comics, the story will revolve around a woman named Geunyoung Lee, an ordinary reporter for a tabloid magazine who struggles to make a living, and to a character named Joon Hoo, a top male artist who is currently in the peak of his career.
The site added that Joon’s character played by Chanyeol, doesn’t have any negative records until one night, Lee played by Yuan ShanShan, accidentally captured a photo of him heartlessly dumping a poor girl. This causes a big impact to his good image, so in return, he forced Lee’s magazine to fire her. Now, despite all the unfortunate events happened to her life, Lee decided to devote herself on destroying Joon Hoo at all costs.
Moving on, it was not Seohyun’s first time to be part of a drama since she already appeared in “Passionate Love” two years ago, and had cameo roles in “Producers” and “Warm and Cozy.” Although the majority of her appearances were in multiple musical plays such as “The Moon Embracing the Sun” and “Gone With The Wind,” the public acknowledges her devotion in acting.
On the other hand, Girls Generation Seohyun and EXO member Chanyeol is set to start filming in China this week.
