20th Century Fox is going to release Glee Live, a feature film with scenes from the upcoming Glee concert tour with the New Directions gang. Beginning August 12th the movie be in theaters for two weeks and will be in 3D.
Co-creator of Glee, Ryan Murphy, stated that the movie will allow all the fans who were unable to secure tickets to the concert a chance to enjoy some of the excitement firsthand. He went on to say that there were only a few cities on the tour and they knew a lot of fans would not be able to attend. Murphy thanked 20th Century Fox for bringing the 3-dimensional extravaganza to the theaters for fans to enjoy.
A press release from 20th Century Fox states that the movie will capture the concert in a unique way, including special moments from the characters, and a behind-the-scenes look at the actors in-and out-of-character.
