‘Godzilla 2’ Max Borstein Promises Second Sequel will Blow Everyone’s Minds Off

“Godzilla” last year successfully garnered roughly 520 million dollars in revenue and it is this success that assured all of the King of Monsters’ fans that a sequel would be underway. However, even though it is all good and dandy with the sequel, some fans of the movie are worried that the sequel, “Godzilla 2,” would just mirror the pace of the one behind it or the just recently released reboot of the “Fantastic 4.” An extremely long and excruciating build of the story and the characters involved only to have a less than satisfying ending.

In summary, the fans of the movie were yearning for more screen time for “Godzilla.” Well good news, the gods have answered your prayers. Max Borstein, Godzilla’s screenplay writer,  said that the upcoming sequel of the film will be “bigger and better” than the first, as reported by Collider.

In a TCA event for “Minority Report,” the talk swerved for a moment and talked about “Godzilla” and here Borstein said the following:

“I’m writing it now, and it’s really going to be great, I don’t want to go off book and tell you anything that I’m not allowed to tell you.” He continues by saying ,”The response to the first film was really exciting, but now that that world is established, we can do bigger and even better things. We’re really stoked,” as reported by ComicBook.

Even though Borstein’s answer doesn’t hold too much meat when it comes to spoiling the plot of the next “Godzilla” film, it is greatly satisfying to know that the first film was simply an appetizer, a kind of door to the endless possibility and chaos associated with the “Godzilla” universe. Now, that door is open and you will be able to see it on June 8, 2018, as long as everything goes well of course.

What do you think of Max Borstein’s answer to the question regarding “Godzilla 2?” Are you one of those people that thought the first film was lacking? Or did you understand that the first movie was simply a back story for the iconic monster? Tell us what you think by writing below.
