The Thanksgiving weekend could not save “The Good Dinosaur,” it had the weakest figures for Pixar after “A Bug’s Life” that released in 1998. It has underperformed and is said to have the weakest launch of Pixar. Though, it was expected that the movie will fetch good figures after having an overwhelming response at debut and critics reviews. The trade analysts expected “The Good Dinosaur” to have an opening like “Inside Out”. Read on to find out more about “The Good Dinosaur” scoop ahead.

According to Cartoon Brew, “The Good Dinosaur” isn’t a flop and is going smoothly and will make out a descent gross figure for investors. It only makes a contradiction when it is compared at home with other Pixar projects that have done tremendously well at the box-office.

It isn’t wrong to call it a weak launch for Pixar against three-day weekend. However, in comparing the total figures Dino got a total of approximately $55.6 million in total five days which makes it third after “Minions” and “Inside Out.” According to a survey almost 80% of “The Good Dinosaur” audience comprised of families.

“The Good Dinosaur” is still going good at the theatres but is definitely an alarming situation for Pixar as they have an illustrious history of record-breaking figures at the box-office. The figures got definitely affected by the release of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” which had a tremendous opening at the box-office.

The Peter Sohn directorial “The Good Dinosaur” indeed has a wonderful story telling and Pixar undoubtedly excelled in that.
