The Good Wife” Season 6 Episode 4 “Oppo Research” aired on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on CBS. Eli presented Alicia with the opposition’s research about her. Read on to learn more about this episode.

Previously on “The Good Wife” (Episode 4 “Oppo Research”), Alicia (Julianna Margulies) met her would-be campaign manager Johnny Elfman (Steven Pasquale). Along with Eli (Alan Cumming), they discussed the opposition research. The research contains Alicia and her family’s skeletons in the closet. Should she officially decides to run, these are the things that they will use against her.

First, she was informed that Zach (Graham Phillips) and his ex-girlfriend Nisa (Rachel Hilson) time had an abortion on Aug. 5. A clinic has a record of it. Eli admitted to Alicia that it was true. It happened when Zach was supposed to be touring colleges. Meanwhile, she has to let go of Lemond Bishop (Mike Colter) because he can pull her with all the negative publicity. Her brother, Owen (Dallas Roberts) was having an affair with a married Palestinian man who performs in porn. As for her mother, Veronica (Stockard Channing) she hit a five-year-old kid in a department store.

Now here are Alicia’s issues. There was a photo of her and Will Gardner (Josh Charles). Then a photo of Finn Polmar (Matthew Goode) leaving her apartment early in the morning.

The next day, Cary (Matt Czuchry), Alicia and Diane (Christine Baranski) set a meeting with Bishop. Alicia told him that they could not represent him anymore, but Bishop refused.

Eli met with Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) and confronted her about sleeping with Peter (Chris Noth). Kalinda assured Eli that there is nothing to worry about her.

Alicia talked to her mom and Owen. She asked her mom to meet with the kid’s parents and to apologize. As for Owen, when Alicia revealed what she know, he did not seem to take it well and left.

Moreover, Peter asked Eli to fire Lauren (Katie Paxton). The last person Alicia talked to was Finn. Finn revealed to her that Castro (Michael Cerveris) would hit her in her most vulnerable spot.

While going home, Alicia was pulled over and was asked to get out of the car. Although she agreed to take a breathalyzer, the officer insisted on having a field sobriety test. Then we saw a car passed by and took a photo of Alicia performing the test. She then called Eli about it and said that she thinks it was a set up.

Veronica met up with the kid and his mother. She threatened them that she would file a suit unless she is given with $50,000. Luckily, Elfman found a video of the kid tripping an 80-year-old woman who ended up in a hospital. The kid’s mother left.

Zach finally called and apologized for what he did — well, half-heartedly. Alicia told him that if anyone asks him about it, he must say that Alicia counseled him about keeping the baby.

Alicia then decided to run, and Elfman told her that the next step she would take is to reveal that she is going on a detox for her alcohol addiction.

Bishop found out about Alicia running as state’s attorney, and he set up a PAC to earn some fund for Alicia’s campaign, which now has $140,000.
