Previously on “The Good Wife” (“The One Percent” Season 5 Episode 21), Castro (Michael Cerveris) went to Peter’s (Chris Noth) office and showed him a photo of Finn (Matthew Goode) leaving Alicia’s (Julianna Margulies) apartment. Castro then advised Peter that it would not look good if he would endorse Finn, his wife’s lover. This remark caused Peter to give Castro a splash on the face. He should be thankful that Peter did not punch him. Meanwhile, Eli (Alan Cumming) told Peter that Alicia influenced Finn.  Hey, do not blame Eli. He did not know what was happening. Well, he did not know yet.

Peter was now flirting with interns, perhaps in response to the news he had received,  Eli then went to ask Alicia about what was happening between them. Alicia told him she was done. She said it was okay for Peter to cheat, as long as the kids do not find out. Alicia knew that Castro was behind this. She then told Eli that she did not sleep with Finn. Then, Eli relayed this information to Peter.

James Paisley (Tom Skerritt), Alicia’s client, was into a multi-billion dollar merger deal with another firm. When this merge pushes through, 20 percent of the workforce will become jobless. The people were having a demonstration. The next thing we knew, a pie ended up on Paisley’s face. Paisley was also facing another case, as his former CFO sued him for discrimination. He claimed that he was fired because he was gay, while Paisley said that he was trading secrets. The former CFO’s lawyer was none other than Louis (Michael J. Fox).

While on TV, Paisley made a snide remark. He talked about being like Anne Frank and being hunted like the Jews in Germany. Alicia told him to take back his comment. He refused at first but did it anyway. Cary (Matt Czuchry), Alicia and Louis agreed on a settlement amounting to $1 million.

In Lockhart-Gardner, the associates were picking different sides. Diane (Christine Baranski) wanted to represent the children, while Louis wanted to represent the pharmaceutical company (accused). Moreover, Rayna bailed out from their firm because, according to her, she was losing clients.

Then, we watched Diane as she made her way to Florrick-Agos. She confronted Alicia about it, but she told Diane that they never met the rainmaker. It turned out that Louis was the one spreading lies. Diane found out and boy, was she furious!
