Gotham City Sirens: Reasons Why Will Smith’s Deadshot Will Make A Good Addition

Gotham City Sirens will tell the story of female DC villains. With the likes of Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman coming together, it will be one of its kind in the DCEU.

Apart from the three members, no other character has been confirmed yet. But going by the reports, one actor has expressed interest in getting his character in the movie.

Gotham City Sirens Will Smith

Movie Web reported that Will Smith has expressed interest in being a part of the movie. According to the outlet, the megastar wants Deadshot to be in the all-female DC villain story.

While there has been no confirmation if it is going to happen or not, having a star like Will Smith does have a lot of benefits.

The Suicide Squad star even gave a statement and mentioned that he would love to work with his Suicide Squad co-star Margot Robbie again. He also stated that he would do any movie she wants to do.

Their previous DC outing managed to rake in about $745 million at the box office even though critics were not too pleased with it.

Despite that, a megastar like Will Smith would be a good addition to the cast. Here are reasons why:

Star Power

The whole reason why Suicide Squad ran well was because of Will Smith. He is an established Hollywood star whose presence still makes fans go and see his movies.

Even though Gotham City Sirens has Margot Robbie, it could use some of Will Smith’s star power.

What if in the movie the three female villains go up against an enemy who is too powerful for them.

Back in Suicide Squad, in order to take down Enchantress, it needed combined efforts of super-villains like Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Keeping in sync with the same, Quinn could enlist Deadshot’s help to take down an enemy.

Since she cannot call Batman for help, Deadshot would be appropriate.

Quinn could also seek her new ally Deadshot’s help as a distraction. Since the movie is based in Gotham, there are chances Batman will have at least a cameo in it.

If Batman comes after the three of them, Deadshot could create a much-needed distraction and engage with the Dark Knight head on.

It remains to be seen if Will Smith’s Deadshot will be seen in the movie or not.

Gotham City Sirens does not have a release date yet.
