First day of a new job can be quite unnerving especially when you’ve been demoted and the job isn’t really your cup of tea. “Gotham” Season 1, Episode 11 “Rogue’s Gallery” has premiered and it kicked off with Jim Gordon in his new job at the Arkham Asylum. So how did it go? Read below for my full recap.
Crazies, electrocution and what-not are some of the things that Gordon had to deal with on his very first day. A stage show caused quite a riot inside the asylum and with only six guards around to control and bring normalcy in the best possible way. It was only Gordon who had the guts to get in there and break it up. However, his boss didn’t appreciate this and even blamed him for letting the attack happen, which was something that shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Quite harsh there, boss, it’s his first day cut him some slack!
There’s always a silver lining even amidst the darkness of “Gotham” when Dr. Leslie Thompkins arrived at the asylum and talked to Gordon. And they even have more chemistry than Gordon and Barbara and speaking of Barbara, she still can’t handle the trauma and is still dealing with it through medications and banging Montoya. Dr. Leslie Thompkins is a good friend of the Wayne family and a well-known fixture in the DC Comics “Batman.” She helped Gordon determine the cause of what’s happening with the patients. Hence, the attack that happened earlier that day. It turns out that they were being electrocuted in a way that makes them crazier than ever!
Gordon called the cops to help and his former partner, Bullock, was there to help his good ‘ol pal. They were able to unravel the mystery behind this and that’s when we met Jack Gruber, the mastermind behind making the crazies even crazier.
But of course, plot twist because it seems like Gruber would be one of the established villains in “Gotham” he managed to escape thanks to an inmate Aaron Helzinger who helped him.
Meanwhile, in “Gotham” mob bosses are getting together to take down Falcone.
