The episode opened ten days after the second season finale. FBI Agent Joe “Johnny” Tuturro (Manny Montana) spotting FBI Agent Paul Briggs (Daniel Sunjata) with a sniper rifle at a cemetery. Paul had attended the funeral of Los Angeles Police Department Gang Task Force Detective Archie Garret. Los Angeles Police Department Gang Task Force Detective Sid Markham (Carmine Giovinazzo) then talked to him then left without doing anything to Paul.
Inside the Graceland house, ICE Agent Dale “DJ” Jakes (Brandon Jay McLaren) complained on how messy the house was, and decided to clean up the place by himself.
At a nearby hospital, FBI Agent Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit) was wheeled back to his room by Paul, who had showed him the newspaper clipping of his faked death. Mike would have to stay dead until Sid was finally captured. Paul then suggested that they tell the others what DEA Agent Paige Arkin (Serinda Swan) had done, but Mike told him not to. He asked on how she was as she had hit some dumpsters and had gotten injured while driving as one of Sid’s men had come after her.
Inside the hospital room, Mike thanked Paul for saving him, refused to talk about his near death experience and decided to take some morphine in his drip as his wound became unbearably painful.
As soon as Paul left Mike’s room, he was escorted by two FBI officers to their office. FBI Special Agent in Charge Sean Logan (Lawrence Gilliard) showed him the tape that implicated Paul as the murderer of FBI Agent Juan Badillo (Pedro Pascal), which Paul had covered up as soon as he realized that he hadn’t murdered the killer known as “Jangles.” The tape had been found in Mike’s effects as Charlie had given it to him. It was taken as Mike had been a suspect in the massacre that occurred at the Solano home. Paul was then given no choice but to try to infiltrate the Armenian mob by working closely with Ari Adamian (Rhys Coiro). He is the nephew of the right hand man of Armenian mob leader Martun Sarkissian (Peter Stormare).
They then kidnapped a man named Sammy O’Malley (Adam D. Crain). His blood type was the same of Ari’s uncle who needed kidneys, and stuffed him in the trunk. They were then stopped by a patrolman as the car they were driving was stolen, who refused to believe that Paul was FBI. It resulted in the cop getting hit, and Paul getting tazed. Later that night, he realized that he was in over his head, as Ari had cut Sammy open, and had placed the body in a car and set it on fire. Paul then tried to drop out of the operation, but Logan refused to let him go.
Meanwhile, Johnny went to Tecate, Mexico, where he still had no choice but to comply to whatever Carlito Solano (Erik Valdez) told him to do. His girlfriend, Lucia Solano (Jamie Gray Hyder), was still at her older brother’s mercy.
Meanwhile, Paige tried to confront Sid, who believed that there really was going to be an inquest, and told her that he would contact her when they would talk about it. This caused Paige to tell Johnny, who had just returned from Mexico, that she needed him to spot her.
Charlie, who finally had gotten a lead on the British money launderer who had beaten her up a few days ago, visited Mike, and told him about Paige’s plan. Because of this, Mike decided to reveal himself to Sid, who was planning on killing Paige. Paige then became upset at Mike, who told her that he had forgiven her for what she had done.
At the hospital, Mike realized that he no longer had the tape. He told Charlie, who immediately began to look for Paul, who told them, after Paige appeared saying that she was going to transfer out, that Paige could leave if she wanted to. He then told them about his day, and told them that Graceland was there so that the others could help the other out after a long tiring and taxing day of doing undercover work.
Later that night, Sid, who was now in the wind, with nowhere to go, got into a car with Johnny driving. Together, they drove off into the night.
