Meanwhile, FBI Agent Catherine “Charlie” De Marco’s (Vanessa Ferlito) secret was revealed to ICE Agent Dale “DJ” Jakes (Brandon Jay McLaren), and her operation quickly went south due to an unforeseen complication. Briggs came up with a plan in order to get DEA Agent Paige Arikin (Serinda Swan) out of the clutches of the Sarkissian family, which, in turn, makes Mike suspicious. Read on to learn more about this episode.
In order to throw off any suspicion from himself, FBI Agent Paul Briggs (Daniel Sunjata) painted himself as a confidential informant from the FBI to Toros Berbarian (Val Lauren) and Ari Adamian (Rhys Coiro). He then planted the idea that there was a mole within the Sarkissians. He suggested that they ask an actual FBI agent as to how much they knew about the FBI’s investigation into them.
Later, at the FBI office, Briggs told FBI Special Agent in Charge Sean Logan (Lawrence Gillard) that he needed to give the Sarkissians an FBI agent. Afterwards, Logan called up FBI Agent Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit) and asked him to meet him at the office.
Meanwhile, in Florida, ICE Agent Dale “DJ” Jakes (Brandon Jay McLaren), along with Amber (Brit Morgan), got the Windgate brothers to set him up with a money launderer-Germaine Marsden (Hal Ozsan).
Mike, who had just woken up in Gusti “Vin” Kadek Pendit’s (Mahedi Rakib) house. He discovered that Vin had known that he was a junkie. After rehiring him as Mike said that he was doing alright, they went to pick up a shipment of electronics from two drug addicts who duped them, and easily overpowered and captured them.
Mike then got them to stop torturing Vin by telling them that Brigg’s old drug lord persona, Odin Rossi, owned the canister. It led to Briggs, FBI Agent Johnny Tuturro (Manny Montana) and DEA Agent Paige Arkin (Serinda Swan) going there to rescue the canister. In the shoot-out that followed, Mike, whose brain had been addled by withdrawal symptoms, accidentally shot Vin, which caused Vin, whille he was recuperating, to say that he was done with the United States and told Mike to get the phone that the buyer of the canister had given him.
Mike, after getting the phone, was about to shoot up with a painkiller that he had swiped, but stopped after seeing a flyer for a rehabilitation clinic with an arc of red birds reminiscent of his vision.
Because of this, he asked for help from Briggs. He handcuffed him to his bed, with the entire Graceland house watching over him as he began the detoxification process. After discovering that he was running a high fever and wasn’t responding, they dunked him several times into a tub of ice cold water. After seeing his vision again, he fought to wake up, thus coming “back from the dead” a second time. Afterwards, he renewed his resolve to see the sarin gas case through.
Afterwards, DJ had the meeting with Charlie. She wasn’t able to capture her prize as an ATF agent had suddenly entered. He told her that Marsden was off limits as he was their confidential informant.
Later, DJ comforted Charlie, and Amber went back to prison. In her cell, she discovered that Charlie had sent her an origami frog, just like the one she would give her father.
At the FBI office, Mike informed Logan that Briggs wasn’t planning anything to be suspicious about. He realized, based on the picture on Logan’s desk, that Briggs was having Logan followed.
This caused Mike to follow Logan and discovered that Briggs had Logan kidnapped for the Sarkissians.
