“Graceland” Season 3 Episode 9 “Hand of Glory” will air this Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015 at 10:00 PM on USA Network. In this episode, with FBI Agent Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit) back in business, and in his right mind, it seems as if the game between him and FBI Agent Paul Briggs (Daniel Sunjata), is back in play, as Mike decides to take matters into his own hands after a surprising discovery during last week’s episode. Also, with “Graceland’s” third season in its latter half, a new development involving ICE Agent Dale “DJ” Jakes (Brandon Jay McLaren) will make its presence known as the episode begin to build up into the season’s finale. WARNING: This article contains spoilers on “Graceland” Season 3 Episode 9. Read on only to learn more about what Mike will be doing against Briggs, and what this new development in Jakes’ life will be.
The previous episode, “Graceland” Season 3 Episode 8 “Savior Complex,” left viewers and fans wondering as to what will happen next, as FBI Agent Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit), who is now currently drug free, thanks to a difficult detoxification process that his house mates made him submit to, for his own sake, began to become suspicious of FBI Agent Paul Briggs’ (Daniel Sunjata) actions.
This suspicion against Briggs began in the eighth episode, where Mike realized that Briggs was having Special Agent in Charge Sean Logan (Lawrence Gillard), who forced Briggs to undercover with the Sarkissians, followed. However, instead of voicing his suspicions, he decided to follow Logan, and witnessed him getting kidnapped by the Sarkissians, with Briggs as the driver.
Because of this, it seems like Mike’s dynamic with Briggs has come full circle, and has returned to the dynamic they had in the first season, as Mike had been initially assigned to Graceland to investigate Briggs.
This, however, seems to be the case, especially as Mike, in the promotional video for the upcoming episode, which was released on Spoiler TV, shows him briefing DEA Agent Paige Arkin (Serinda Swan) and FBI Agent Johnny Tuturro (Manny Montana) about what Briggs had done; and as it shows him leading an FBI TAC team to rescue a tortured and bloody Logan, who, at the moment that Mike and his team enter the room, is held at gunpoint by Briggs.
With all the excitement going on, and with FBI Agent Catherine “Charlie” de Marco (Vanessa Ferlito) still fighting to capture Germaine Marsden (Han Ozsan), and recovering from the loss of her baby, it seems like ICE Agent Dale “DJ” Jakes will be spared from any drama or worries in the coming episodes.
However, things will not be quiet from Jakes at all as the season enters into the last half of the season.
This fact was confirmed by series creator Jeff Eastin in an interview with Entertainment Weekly before the third season began airing and said that Jakes’ upcoming storyline will be one of the most important story lines this season.
In line with this, The Hollywood Reporter has just announced that “Person of Interest” and “Arrow” star Annie Ilonzeh will be heading towards the series as Courtney Gallo, a corporate attorney who represents corrupt businessmen, and who has no qualms about it. However, she does end up catching Jakes’ eye. This development, will probably be the beginning of the story line that Eastin promised for Jakes’ character.
Do you think that Mike’s and Briggs’ relationship and dynamic will return to how it was in the first season? What do you think about Annie Ilonzeh’s character? What do you think will be happening to Jakes? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
