In just a few hours, fans of the Californian multi-agency safehouse, called Graceland, will finally be rewarded for their patience, as the third season of USA Network’s “Graceland” will be rolling in on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10:00 PM. Leading up to the season, USA Network has released several hints and teases as to what is in store for our favorite agents, but nothing as definite or more telling that the interview that TV Line just had with show creator Jeff Eastin regarding the fate of some characters, and what to expect for each of them in the third season. WARNING: This article may contain spoilers for the third season of “Graceland”. Read on to learn more about what will happen in season three.
The last time we saw FBI Agent Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit), the poor boy was semi-conscious, and had been paid a visit by his season long enemy, Detective Sid Markham (Carmine Giovinazzo), who proceeded to kill the almost dead Mike. According to TV Line’s interview with creator Jeff Eastin, the creator teased that everyone’s favorite golden boy will be present during the season, but did not say how or what exactly Mike’s involvement with the house’s cases, or with the season will be.
Of course, one cannot talk about Mike’s fate without mentioning DEA Agent Paige Arkin (Serinda Swan), who is responsible for anything else that might happen to Mike as she was the one who set Sid upon Mike during the final moments of the season. So what’s in store for the show’s least favorite character as of the moment? According to Eastin, she’ll be trying to understand and will be trying to come to terms with what she had done.
Now, let’s head to back to another FBI Agent, and the only other woman in the house aside from Paige- FBI Agent Catherine “Charlie” DeMarco (Vanessa Ferlito). Eastin’s interview confirms an earlier report on Movie News Guide (MNG), as Charlie will not only be chasing those who tormented her at the end of the season, but the currently pregnant agent will also pay an “informational visit” to a nearby clinic.
FBI Agent Paul Briggs (Daniel Sunjata), the father of Charlie’s baby, will not be finding any good break at all, as the show creator informed TV Line that Briggs’ arc will be mirroring a real story in which an undercover agent was tasked to get close to a psychopathic criminal named Whitey Bulger, who was taken down along with the agent, who is still serving a criminal sentence. Based on this, on way or another, because of the tape, or because of his new assignment, fans and viewers will expect this season to be that of Briggs’ downfall. He will be handed this assignment by Lawrence Gilliard, who will be portraying Brigg’s handler, and will be accompanying Rhys Coiro’s character, Ari Adamian. His main task will be to bring down the Sarkissian crime family, headed by Peter Stormare’s character.
For those wondering what will be happening to FBI Agent Johnny Tuturro (Manny Montana), who had just been forced by the hot tempered Carlito Solano (Erik Valdez) to keep the government funded drug planes going as his cover had been blown, or else Carlito will off his sister, and Johnny’s girlfriend, rest assured, this storyline will wrap up in the first few episodes. Let’s hope that Johnny will return to being the heart of the house.
Lastly, ICE Agent Dale “DJ” Jakes (Brandon Jay McLaren) will be getting more focus in the latter part of the year, as Eastin teased that the cliffhanger at the end of the season will definitely involve the house’s beloved DJ.
