Disney XD has made a recent announcement that the much-awaited “Gravity Falls” season 2 will be premiered early 2016, sometimes between January and March. Alex Hirsch, the series creator elaborated that the episode titled “Weirdmageddon 3” would not try to answer all the questions to keep a scope for further projects. This indicates that the upcoming season is not going to bring an end to the series.
According to Yibada, Hirsch took to social media to admit that it was totally his decision to veil the show, which did not mean the pure cancellation. He even explained that he constantly envisioned “Gravity Falls” to be about one epic summer and wanted to afford a pleasing conclusion for all the characters. However, as far as answering all the questions in “Gravity Falls” season 2 is concerned, Hirsch not only demanded a breathing space for the series in future, he even said that the fans have made several theories and it would be simply impossible to satiate the thirst of everyone.
“Will every single conceivable question ever thought of about ‘Gravity Falls’ be answered in the end? Of course not. But that just leaves some material for any potential ‘Gravity Falls’ projects in the future…(including the canon Journal #3 that goes on sale in 2016),” Hirsch wrote.
Some other reports are claiming the possibility of an antagonistic character during the finale of “Gravity Falls” season 2. A character named Time Baby will have a level of power in “Weirdmageddon 3” episode similar to the villain Bill Cipher.
K-Drama Stars states that “Gravity Falls” season 2 will represent Time Baby who shall be having the capability to influence the world and affect the time continuum. Hirsch even gave a small hint on a violent fight between two antagonistic characters, Baby and Cipher.
The animated series “Gravity Falls” has aired 39 episodes since its release in 2012. We are expecting the premiere of the second season by the early months of 2016.
