Disney XD’s “Gravity Falls” sure did take a long while before the second half of Season 2 resumed on TV, but it also returned with a blast in the latest episode titled, “A Tale of Two Stans.” Now, an ongoing speculation on the possibility of Dipper being re-possessed by Bill Cipher was raised among fans of the award winning animated series. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
“Gravity Falls” is about to air its second episode titled, “Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons” on Monday, Aug. 3. While the premiere episode for the second half of season two did not fall short of fans’ expectations, there is an ongoing speculation that Dipper has been re-possessed by Bill Cipher.
“Gravity Falls” creator Alex Hirsch previously admitted that his goal in creating the series was to make other people “as paranoid and insane as I was as a child,” MoviePilot cited.
The outlet noted of a “Gravity Falls” theory from a user named “swiftwidget” on Tumblr. The theory claims that while Bill has been removed from Dipper’s body in the episode titled “Sock Opera,” there is a possibility that Bill immediately re-possessed Dipper without anyone else’s knowledge.
How could that possibly happen?
According to “swiftwidget’s” theory, in the episode called “Into the Bunker,” Dipper was turned into wood and Bill could have “sneakily possessed Dipper.” While some may argue that Dipper doesn’t seem to be acting weirdly in the upcoming episodes, the outlet noted that Dipper seemingly looked the same as when he was first possessed by Bill in the episode titled “Not What He Seems.”
Meanwhile, the trailer for the upcoming episode of “Gravity Falls” titled, “Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons” has been released. The upcoming episode will air on Monday, Aug. 3 on Disney XD.
