“Gravity Falls” recently aired one of the most life-changing episodes, which ultimately showed the fact that summer has come to an end. While fans are now raving to see what happens next to Mabel, Dipper, Grunkle Stan and Ford, series creator Alex Hirsch revealed some interesting details as to what fans can expect next in the Disney XD series.
This article contains spoilers for “Gravity Falls.” Read on to learn more about this scoop.
“Gravity Falls” Season 2 Episode 17 titled, “Dipper and Mabel Vs. The Future” aired last Monday, Oct. 12 on Disney XD. As previously teased by series creator Alex Hirsch during an interview at the New York Comic Con (via EW), the episode was tagged as an “intense game-changing episode,” and indeed it was.
As reviewed by Alasdair Wilkins of the A.V. Club, the latest episode of “Gravity Falls” lives up to Hirsch’s statements. The latest episode of the animated series showed twins Mabel and Dipper breaking up because they both had their own plans now that summer has, unfortunately, come to an end.
It was also one of the show’s most heartbreaking episodes (and birthday), as Mabel overhears about Ford’s plans to remain in Gravity Falls in order to become Ford’s apprentice.
“He (Ford) believes that Dipper has to be by himself to reach his full potential, because it was only when Stan left the picture that Ford became all he could be,” the outlet reviewed.
Meanwhile, Hirsch also revealed to the press during the New York Comic Con an interesting fact about Bill Cipher.
“If you think Stan’s relationship with his family is bad, Bill’s is worse. I’ll just say this: Bill has friends,” he said.
Bill Cipher has friends?!
Yes, you read that right. Add to this the fact that “Dipper’s Journal” will be released to the public in 2016, which will include everything about how Dipper came to “Gravity Falls” and some clues about Bill Cipher.
