The latest “Grey’s Anatomy” spoilers revealed that show will be cancelled after season 12. It was said that many fans have decided to boycott the series following Derek Shepherd’s death and Ellen Pompeo’s alleged departure.

According to Inquistr, season 12 could be the last season for the ABC drama. It was said that with many of the original characters gone, the producers are having doubts about renewing the series.

Meanwhile, Design & Trend reported that fans of “Grey’s Anatomy” could look forward to more romance between Arizona and Callie come season 12. Jessica Capshaw’s (Arizona) contract was supposed to end in May, however, the creators decided that they wanted her to extend until May 2018. This is definitely surprising given that the series has only been renewed for one season at the moment.

The renewal of Capshaw’s contract led many fans to believe that she and Callie could get back together. Some fans, however, believed that a new love interest will be introduced in the coming episodes.

“There was definite forward movement happening for Arizona, but it didn’t quite fit into the larger storyline,” the actress hinted.

On the other hand, Sara Ramirez’s contract is about to expire in May 2016. This could only mean that there is bound to be some more negotiations. The actress has refused to comment when asked if she would want to reprise her role in the series after her contract.

“Grey’s Anatomy” season 12 premieres on Sept. 24 on ABC.
