Drax, the Destroyer has a purpose and he shall fulfill it no matter what. Drax, the Destroyer who was given the spirit of Arthur Douglas and resurrected for the sole purpose of killing the Mad Titan Thanos will be harnessing his actual side and will be more fierce in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.’ Read On!
According to Cinema Blend, Dave Bautista, who plays the role of Drax, the Destroyer, shared this detail himself when he mentioned that his character in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2” would be more badass than the first one. Quite honestly, it is really good to know that Drax will be more fierce because the Drax that is famous amongst fans is so powerful that Ronan wouldn’t have been able to even touch him as compared to the miserable beating he gave to the Destroyer.
Perhaps, it was just the beginning, hence, Drax didn’t really stand up to his name and as time passes by and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2” releases, Drax would have gained some more experience by fighting some major outlaws in the galaxy alongside his teammates who themselves were a bit fresh in the first one.
As far as the comic book story goes, Drax ripped Thanos’ heart out when the Mad Titan was not looking. Besides this, Drax has incredible amount of powers, one such story even states that the character lost his power of flight, otherwise at one point he was one of the greatest warriors in the Universe. Obviously the one, who is destined to kill Thanos and was resurrected by Titan God Kronos, has to have some kind of powers that makes him stand out. About “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” Dave mentioned that he has not really read the script yet but it will be more focused on his character and his transformation in to a better self.
He also expressed his desire of teaming up with Marvel’s other superhero team “Avengers” in near future though any update about “Avengers: Infinity War” does not hint at the Avengers and Guardians joining forces. Given the fact that Thanos will be visiting Earth in “Avengers: Infinity War,” Drax might too will have to travel to the planet to fulfill his destiny.
Flickering Myth added that Drax will still not understand metaphor and will continue to take things literally. But if fans get to see a much more powerful Drax, then no one will really complain!
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2” will release on May 5th 2017.
