Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 star Vin Diesel is voicing the character Baby Groot in the sequel. He had voiced the adult version of Groot in the first film (2014). This Fast & Furious 8 actor has now revealed why playing Groot in the film has been a challenging task for him.

Meanwhile, Chris Pratt, also known as Star-Lord, has dropped a photo from the sets of the film. The photo shows character Nebula, Yondu, and Mantis relaxing on the set. Read to know more.

Vin Diesel Talks About Voicing Baby Groot

“It’s very, very challenging because you’re limited to three words,” explains Diesel, reports Comicbook.com. He further reveals that there is a secret script for all lines of Groot, but the catch of it is how he says those three words. They are, “I am Groot.”

In the first film, Groot played the most important role when he sacrifices himself. He is seen as a grown up tree with huge branches. When he dies, Rocket plants a tiny branch of it in a pot. As a result, Baby Groot is born.

Meanwhile, the recent trailer for the film has shown the bonding between Baby Groot and Rocket the Raccoon. Bradley Cooper voices the latter character in the sequel. The friendship between the two is clearly visible to fans and they are super excited to watch the film.

Furthermore, Diesel has revealed what he does to voice Baby Groot. He reveals, “I change it super, super, super, super high.” He adds, “I have a feeling they’ll do a combination of things.” He also reveals how he voices the character’s tone. “I mean, I do it super high-pitched.”

Baby Groot In Sequel Trailers

It is interesting to note that in most of the teasers and trailers released for the sequel, Baby Groot says only three words. These three words are “I am Groot.”

The trailers give a hint that Groot will also play a role in saving the galaxy, but he may do it with the help of others. His activities reveal his humorous side. In one scene in the trailer, Baby Groot is seen on the shoulder of Gamora whilst the other scene has him enjoying a treat in the flying jet of Star-Lord. His tiny and pint-sized figure might draw hilarious scenes to watch.

In the original film, he is seen as a serious character, but in the sequel, his changed voice appears to be more like a fun element for the audience. In the original film, Groot is ready to give up his life for them in order to save the galaxy. Therefore, his connection with the Guardians team is something to look forward to.

New Set Photo Teased By Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt seems to be gearing up for the promotion of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 movie. In his recent Instagram post, he put up an image from the sequel’s set. One can see Nebula, Mantis, and Yondu sitting and relaxing on the film set.

Mantis is the new cast addition in the sequel. It is played by actress Pom Klementieff, who appeared in Hacker’s Game (2015). In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2,  Klementieff plays the Mantis who supports the team of Guardians. It is learned that she has some unique powers and was raised by Ego.

Nebula, the rival cum sibling of Gamora, is also spotted in the photo. This role is played by actress Karen Gillan. She gives a look to Yondu (played by Michael Rooker) and holds a soft drink can in her hand.

Nebula and Gamora are going to team up to protect the galaxy, but Star-Lord has to keep a check on Nebula as she is often driven by hatred toward Gamora. The trailers have shown the verbal spat between the sisters. Their backstory might be also revealed in the sequel.

It has been revealed, in media reports, that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 will deal with finding the actual parents of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt). The film opens in theaters on May 05, 2017.
