He is undoubtedly the most adorable and the most dangerous teammate in the “Guardians of the Galaxy.” After he sacrificed himself to save his friends Rocket, Star-Lord, Drax and Gamora, he was shown in a miniature form dancing at the end of the movie. However Vin Diesel who voices Groot has some ideas about how he thinks Groot should be like.
According to IGN, Vin Diesel was promoting his upcoming movie “The Last Witch Hunter” when his most adorable role till date was discussed. He did his Groot impression for everyone and also gave an insight about how his character Groot should look like in the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.” According to the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star, he wants to see Groot in a gigantic version and then throw him in the forest to see how much mass does the character consume. Groot being a tree like creature can increase his size at will and has been seen in his menacing form in one of the animated crossover cartoon between the “Avengers” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.” In the cartoon, Groot beat the living life out of Hulk when he got a strong grip over the raging monster and smashed him on the floor. Maybe Vin got some inspiration from the clip itself and later pitched it to James. What form will the Groot be seen in the movie is not known yet but Vin confessed that he has had a word about Groot’s appearance with James in the upcoming movie.
Some reports suggest that James wants to continue with the baby Groot version that everyone saw in the end but no matter what size the creature is in, he will still remain cool as usual and continue to make a significant contribution to the team.
Ace Showbiz added that Rocket Raccoon planted one of the splinters of Groot, which later grew into baby Groot. Who knows if the Guardians continue to water it like a normal tree, Groot will regain his size and structure faster than usual. Whatever form they choose for Groot remains to be seen and will surely be discussed in the coming months. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2” will release on May 5th 2017.
