In her latest TV appearance, Gwen Stefani has no choice but to discuss the romance with Blake Shelton as she was cornered by none other than Ellen DeGeneres! Read on!
Stefani was all flushed in her latest TV appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” as she was candidly asked by Ellen DeGeneres about her relationship with her fellow coach on “The Voice,” Blake Shelton—and guess what she asked…
According to Entertainment Tonight, Stefani got a little rowdy cowboy when DeGeneres started to open the topic about the singer’s life after divorce and how she moved on and found another love with the “Sangria” singer, Shelton.
While sitting down on the hot seat with the 57-year-old comedian host, Stefani seemed to play coy whenever she was asked about her new man. Every time DeGeneres tries to bring up the topic by comically connecting her words with the issue, the 45-year-old songstress just laughed it off and tries to divert the topic to another.
To force the “Used To Love You” singer to open the topic, after DeGenres talked about Stefani’s team on “The Voice,” a picture of the singer sitting on Shelton’s lap flashed on the giant screen of the show.
DeGenres joked about it by saying “I didn’t know where that came from!”
Obviously, the talk show host was feigning ignorance that time but it was played very well as she was able to get Stefani on the hot seat! She was able to make the singer talked about her new man and her revelations are just hilarious!
When the photo suddenly flashes on the screen wall, DeGeneres quickly showed her humor as she commented on why the picture was like that—“… probably during another commercial break you’re on Adam[Levine]’s lap. I don’t know.”
Stefani, on the other hand, played along with the host’s joke and followed it by saying she usually sits on one of the coaches lap every commercial break!
When asked about Shelton, Stefani revealed that she never heard of Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband until the day she became one of the judges on “The Voice.”
Stefani shared, “Before I was on The Voice I never heard of him before. I’m an O.C. girl! Like, what would I know?”
Adding on, Stefani also expressed her admiration on how Shelton was like an “encyclopedic music knowledge” –as he knows every song from the 80’s, she even branded him as a “musical jukebox!”
“He knows everything about music, it’s crazy,” Stefani noted.
The said song was written and recorded while Stefani was going through her divorce with Bush’s frontman, Gavin Rossdale.
“I even think I sang one of the lyrics wrong. And it was totally wrong!” she revealed. “But no one caught it,” Stefani told DeGeneres.
